A Few Clouds From Time To Time
The marriage of philosophy, mental illness, and life hacks
Hello there!
You have stumbled upon a very interesting piece of the internet, particularly if you are or know (and ideally like) someone with a mental disorder. This site will cover a wide range of things. If mental disorders affect your life, I hope to explain, inform, and enlighten, as well as provide advice and useful ideas that you can use to increase life goodness. I'm working on something that explains what "mental disorder" includes, and it is a lot to unpack, so bear with me.
I am eccentric, abrasive, and opinionated. Most people get used to it. I grow on people like a fungus, only instead of fungus, I'm more like a slime mold. If you do not know what a slime mold is, Google it. It is amazing. It is neither a plant, animal, nor fungus. They use it to plan city infrastructure.

I've been around the mental illness merry-go-round a few hundred times by now. I have three mental disorder diagnoses (not self, I have paper), but after that, it starts to get complicated. I've both been on Medicaid and paid more than some people pay in rent per month on health insurance premiums for... You guessed it, shitty health insurance benefits.
I've likely been to some extent where you are, where you definitely do not want to go, and something close to where you want to go.
Don't worry, this isn't a vlog where I tell you all about my feelings (every single day) and get into fights with other vloggers on various platforms. I would be honored to anger someone enough for them to shitpost about me on some social media platform I don't care about. We can use dumb crap like this to make important points.
Mental Disorder Rule #8: Never let someone else's opinion define you.
The ProTip version of this adds: Regardless of whether that opinion is positive or negative. I'll explain more later.

ProTip: WHERE IS MY PILL BOTTLE?!
I know I'm not the only one who does this. I have a medication bag that I keep everything in, but I have a few PRN "As Needed" medications that I carry with me sometimes. Now, I try to leave my house only under threat of starvation, but somehow I still cannot keep track of my anxiety pills, of all things to lose. This is a prime example of life with anxiety and ADHD. So, I found myself a solution.
ProTip: Put an AirTag in the bottle.
There are many other brands of devices similar to the AirTag. I have not done all the research at this point, but I may later. They have a much lower price point and work even if you don't use an iPhone.
I know that the AirTags fit into the typical pill bottles from CVS and Amazon Pharmacy, which will fit an AirTag. I put it in the bottle so I don't have to worry about adhesion sticking. Some come with lanyards that you could wrap around the bottle or perhaps close the top of the bottle on the strap. Just keep size in mind when looking at competitors, if you are looking to put it in the bottle for ease of reuse.
I could leave that bad boy in another state and still find it. Knowing I can always find my anxiety medication means I have less anxiety because I'm no longer worried about losing it. Double win.
Temporary FAQ Section
I know some of you are wondering why I bold seemingly random sentences or sentence fragments.
This is a site for mental disorders and that includes ADHD and learning disorders. I am also well aware that certain medications can give you brain fog. All those things can make reading and reading comprehension more difficult. It is to enable someone to focus on the main points without the details getting in the way. Additionally, I have ADHD and it helps me be more focused in my writing.
Couldn't you find a normal name for your site?
I was sitting in my living room idly doing something uninteresting, and I glanced up, and the weather was on, and the forecast was "A few clouds from time to time," and I just thought, "Me too, weather app. Me too." And so here we are. It will make more sense if you stick around. And you'll also find that the answer is unequivocally no; I could not.
